ECM Motors

Did you know that variable-speed ECM motors use less energy than a 100 watt light bulb to save you money as well as save our natural resources... ask about a furnace with an ECM motor if you are looking to purchase. What is an ECM Motor? ECM (Electronically commutated motor) motors are also called DC motors or variable speed motors. The main features are constant air flow and high energy efficiency. They use less than 20% of the electricity required by standard motors and less than 50% of those utilizing X-13 technology (when in continuous fan operation). Unlike standard blower motors, ECM motor technology provides continuous and gradual fan speed changes. The result is optimized humidity control, dramatically reduced sound levels and one of the best energy efficient furnaces you can buy.
